I have done this with my neighbor because we are best friends and we find that it is a great way to keep in touch with each other while we are away at school. What happens is, we have a journal. We keep it for a week and write in it. Once the week is up, we mail it to the other person and they do the same. We have decided that once the year is through, we will take the journal [or two if we run out of space] and put it in a box and bury it in one of our backyards. And we have decided that when we are 50 years old, we are going to dig it up and re-live our memories. Well, I wanted to know if this would be something ok or fun to do with my friend/guy who i like and who likes me. We dated for a while but then broke it off because he blew me off multiple times. We still really really like each other but I am just hesitant to get back with him. We are just friends for now. But he lives far away and is starting to teach at a school in Jackson MS and I still go to school in Ruston LA. They are far away so I was wondering if you think this is a good idea.
